Morning Meditation and Circling
8:45 – 10 a.m. CT
Every day of the week
Are you wanting to create and sustain a meditation practice, while receiving community support and accountability in the process? Do you want a space to refine and improve your Circling skills while bringing more meaningful connection into your life?
How it works…
You show up on time, ready to meditate.
We spend the first 30 minutes in silent self-guided meditation, after which time we do an Organic Circle for 30 minutes. You’re free to just come for the meditation, or to stay for both. Start your day off with presence and connection!
The Art of Circling Practice Group
1 – 2 p.m. CT
Mondays and Wednesdays
This event is one in a series based on the book “The Art of Circling: 37 Practices for Deepening Your Relating Skills,” by Bryan Bayer. The Art of Circling is a practical guide to having profound group conversations. We’ll read through the practices, week by week, discussing and then trying each skill out in a birthday circle experience.
If you haven’t experienced circling before, please attend at least one event on Authentic World prior to starting with this group. Drop in attendance is welcome if you’re only drawn to some of the events, or you can join us for the entire series.
T Group and Organic Circling
1 – 2 p.m. CT
A T-group or training group (sometimes also referred to as sensitivity-training group, human relations training group or encounter group) is a form of group training where participants themselves (typically, between eight and 15 people) learn about themselves (and about small group processes in general) through their interaction with each other. T-group is conducive to increased self-awareness and a deepened understanding of group dynamics.
Triad Birthday Circling
1 – 2 p.m. CT
We do a brief check in to start, then break into groups of three, in which each person gets a chance to be birthday Circled for 15 minutes.
Circling involves practicing using our genuine curiosity to better understand and become a connoisseur of another person’s world though present moment awareness, while breaking through the assumptions and projections we have about each other. Triad circling is a great place to practice your circling, and also get some focused attention.
7:45 – 9 p.m. CT
Circling looks like having a conversation with others about the things that matter to us the most. In this evening, we’ll spend over an hour having that kind of conversation!
A curious, welcoming outlook and an eagerness to check our imaginings about others are hallmarks of how we practice, and the environment of openness, interest and acceptance can often lead to expanded self-awareness, breathtaking perspective shifts, and irrepressible joy.
The Noticing Game Study Group
10:15 – 11:15 a.m. CT
This event is perfect for those of you new and old to the practice, one of the ideal basic skills study sessions! Come notice for a hours worth of play. Notice you, other, sensations, feelings, ideas and inspiration as they arise, moment by moment in connection. A great way to have fun, feel feelings and sharpen your awareness, come join us!
Authentic World Test Kitchen
AW Test Kitchen is the spot where anyone who has a new event offering can come and test it out! Members and facilitators are both welcome, to try new things and/or to play. Events should be within the relational or personal development field, but don’t have to be specifically AR or Circling (although they can be). If your event runs well and folks are digging it, perhaps it will make it onto the regular Authentic World event menu!
